Whether it’s in the music industry or a family, this piece of music pays tribute to the idea of being true to yourself, as well as to freeing yourself from those who can’t bring themselves to love you the way you are.
Musically, it’s a typically up-tempo, folk song. You can hear urban bass sounds and sound effects in the background - tires screeching, a car engine running - which give a sense of an artist “on the road”. There’s a Route 66 vibe to it all.
