Oma

The uber-talented Venezuelan singer/songwriter Lasso comes to Wolf in a Suit with the bittersweet masterpiece that is "Oma". With this stunning blend of melodies and lyrics, he managed to grab my heart and soul in an instant and there was going back from that. A tear decided to say hi from the corner of my left eye, because I knew that even though this tale was his, it reminded me of mine. He wrote this wonderful song for his grandmother, who sadly has already passed, and this connected with me, because my grandmother also passed a few years back and she was one of the most important people in my life.

I want to thank Lasso for I had not given myself the chance to really think about her and to cry and let that sadness that is connected with missing her come out. "Oma" is without a shadow of a doubt one of my favorite track, if not my favorite, for it understands how to really speak to someone's heart. There's no denying the magic that resides within this soundscape, for it knows well that we all miss someone and by sharing his loss, he makes it easier for us to realize that.

So listen closely to the beautiful verses that are part of "Oma" and let yourself be free and simple cry for a bit, there's a sort of healing found in those tears. Enjoy the sweet mesmerizing nature of this must-listen gem!
