"I wasn’t in a place to write about everything contained in this song immediately, but once I was ready it came together like honey. This one is very play-by-play – I wrote it from start to finish as a reflection of the events that transpired, almost like replaying the night it happened in real time...It moves through the aftermath, the guilt and the shame, but also remembering that I felt like I had to dim myself for someone else.
