From New York comes the always brilliant B. Miles and she does so with a subtle and raw soundscape, say hello to “Bad Decision”. With this track, she explores the aftermath of a breakup and what would happen if you allowed yourself to fall back, even if for a short while, into those arms. It does not try to paint a picture of bliss and everlasting happiness, but it understands that the bliss might be sporadic, and that it might be connected to all the memories shared.
There’s something about “Bad Decision” that I’m sure will click with more than a few listeners, as we all have been in that position, deciding to continue forward or taking a few steps back, even if just for a night. There’s no judgement just acceptance that the question has come to mind, and we know the decision is typically not going to end up as one of our best.
