My Personal Favorites from the ‘Technicolour’ album

  • Only You Would Do
  • Wild in My Imagination
  • Pull Me In

These are my favorites, but honestly, they are all fantastic. The album “explores the complicated spaces between love, jealousy and self-worth” beautifully, as it makes us feel understood and heard. So just prey play and find your own set of favorites, and if the whole album fits that label, then so be it — who said you had to love a few? Why not the whole thing?

‘Technicolour’ by Holly Wild

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Australian indie singer/songwriter Holly Wild had some fun and got creative when giving life to the ‘Technicolour’ album. She gave life to a wonderful array of stories and soundscape that embrace the beauty of being human in a way that is utterly hypnotizing from start to end. Each track offers a very unique experience and not only that, but the versatility of her voice is front and center throughout each song. She shines through in a way that is welcomed as she let’s each track come alive and pull us in naturally.

There’s something about the way in which the ‘Technicolour’ album explores a wide array of genres that makes it easy to share with others. It offers melodies that dwell within rock, pop, folk and a bit of something more while letting the verses be worlds so human, so real, and so wonderfully cinematic. Yeah, I said it and I mean it, each song is sure to grab a hold of you and make you feel as if she was not only sharing about her life, but maybe, yours as well.

Alas, I don’t know, but she does seem to understand how to explore and showcase the beauty of the human experience in a way that does not sugarcoat anything, and also it doesn’t look for words that are hard to understand or that a dictionary might be needed for them. Instead she let’s it all come together naturally as the feelings and emotions that reside within each song make themselves present when we press that always enticing play button. So, do that and just fall prey to the sweet magical and emotion-filled realm of the ‘Technicolour’ album. Enjoy!
