My Personal Favorites of the ‘Drip-Fed’ album:

  • “Spot Me, I’m Clean”: A fantastic way to get started with the sonic adventure offered by the ‘Drip-Fed’ album, it just knows how to offer that raw and down to earth approach to storytelling that is always quite welcomed and enjoyed by music lovers.
  • “Stale”: Something about this track screams sad pop but still manages to put a smile on your face in the most honest and accepting fashion. You feel it come alive from the moment you press play, feeling as much yours as it is theirs, becoming your very own bittersweet ballad.
  • “Good When I’m Done”: There is something about this track that just knows how to speak to the fragile truth behind our human condition in a way that is fun, raw and uniquely exciting and magnetic.

‘Drip-Fed’ by The Hubbards

Rating: 5 out of 5.

UK-based indie band The Hubbards come to Wolf in a Suit for the first time and they do so in style, with their latest body of work, the ‘Drip-Fed’ album. This is an album that is absolutely exquisite, there’s no wrong song, there’s no weak spot, and everything about it just made it an instant addition in my personal playlist. It’s honest, raw, human and manages to serve all of these ingredients with songs that excite your senses and come alive in a cinematic fashion with each one of them.

The ‘Drip-Fed’ album is a fantastic way to discover this band and to push yourself to explore what else can be found in their musical universe. It knows that people want something real to connect with, not everything is about fantasies and wishful-thinking, sometimes we need a dose of something palpable and hypnotizing. The band gives each song a 100% of their talent and that sweet unknown magic that is housed in those blessed by the goddess of music, the muses of ancient times, or anything you believe in.

Listen closely and let yourself be blown away by these verses, these sounds and all of the feelings and emotions that are housed in each of these amazing tracks. The Hubbards you’ve done it, this album is a hit in my book and one that I’ll glad share and recommend with anyone looking for something great music.

There is hope on this album too and a lot about where you can find it, even when there appears to be none,”

With the lyrics, we’ve been a bit braver than we ever have before. We were more honest with ourselves and hopefully that will resonate with people.”
