‘Sign of The Times’ by Grizfolk
Music lovers be excited for the amazing indie band Grizfolk has something special for us, say hello to the wonderful ‘Sign of the Times’ EP. With this collection of songs, they come to our lives with tales that speak to our hearts and souls with a welcomed mix of the fantastic and raw nature of our human existence. Each song manages to embrace our senses and truly speak to us as they give our imagination a chance to explore and connect the dots.
There’s something special about the way in which it songs manages to stand on its own, giving us a chance to find bits and pieces of ourselves in them. They don’t follow a set pattern, but no one can deny that they Grizfolk‘s musical creations. They have that welcomed dose of magic, down-to-earth honesty and uniquely crafted escapism that feels healing and inviting.
Personally there were 2 songs that just got me hooked a bit faster than the rest, They have something uniquely intoxicating that I couldn’t help but fall for. They are: “Sign of the Times” and “Medicine Man”.
The first, leads us all into what the EP has to offer and there’s a reason why the EP has the same name. It’s deserving of this honor, because personally, I think it has that unique unknown that just gets you hooked and makes the song feel sort-of cinematic from the moment you press play.
While the second has that mix of classic and contemporary sounds that I just love to find, making it an instant addition to my personal playlist. It’s a track that offers that surreal charm that I mentioned earlier, while feeling strangely human and quite palpable. It’s a dose of something special that reminds us that music can always offer something new.
So listen closely and let each and every song speak to you as you are guided through stories, through worlds and to sounds that are so distinct yet so well-put together that there’s no hiding the subtle connection. Enjoy the adventure that awaits within the ‘Sign of the Times’ EP!
