‘Paradigm’ by Nina June
From the Netherlands comes the absolutely amazing and talented indie singer/songwriter Nina June and she comes to us with the ‘Paradigm EP’. With this beautifully crafted body of work, she opens up her heart and soul and invites us to look inside and find a bit of ourselves in the mix. Plus, she gives music lovers not only a dose of her magic, but a bit from other artists with whom she collaborates in the EP (such as Emily James and Old Sea Brigade).
There’s something about these songs that understands the ways in which to speak to us, allowing us to open up and be vulnerable to the feelings and emotions that pertain to each tale. The tracks flow with ease through the airwaves, pulling us in gently as we are allowed to become one with each story. They feel like poems that understand that life is made of ups and downs, giving it color and making it so unique and exciting from the moment you press play.
There are two songs that stood out a bit more than the rest for me, these are: “Moon Over The Sun” and “Your Surrender”. Be aware though, that I was blown away by the entire ‘Paradigm’ EP, but these just spoke to me more than the rest. They explore the birth of love in different ways, one that understands the beauty and unknown magic of fate and the other embracing the reality that the past is hard to let go, but the present should not pay for the errors of someone else (I understand that these easier said than done).
Listen closely to each track that makes up the ‘Paradigm’ EP and embrace the tales that give it color and that sweet magic that we all crave. Enjoy the ride and dive into this worlds that are sure to speak to you, to me and to everyone who listens to this amazing EP.
