The uber-talented LA-based indie singer/songwriter Brii Elliss comes to us once more and she gives life to the ‘Solitaire’ EP. With this stunning body of work, she gives us a taste of what her voice can offer and what her songwriting skills are capable of. The EP is a body work full of stories and moments that speak from personal experience and managed to connect with each listener from the moment you press play and let the 7 songs that make it up pull you in.

There are various facets of relationships waiting inside this EP, from the good to the bad, from the start to the end, all providing a place for our hearts to call home. She grabs a hold of the pop genre and gives it a palpable and cinematic touch that understands how to speak to us, as it paints picture that seem ours but are so hers. She gives life to song that could easily be anthems and are sure to be fan-favorites made to be sung-along in concerts (“Bad idea” and “Face of Love” fit the bill quite right).

‘Solitaire’ is a strange name to pick but it manages to perfectly convey the entirety of this EP in a way that is just so intoxicating from start to end. So listen closely and let your heart guide you through the verses that flow along so naturally, telling tales so human and so real.
