‘Cool People Don’t Exist’ by Bonded Jacky

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

The fantastic up and coming indie singer/songwriter Bonded Jacky comes to Wolf in a Suit with a charming body work, say hello to the ‘Cool People Don’t Exist’ EP. With this refreshingly honest and down-to-earth showcase of feelings and emotions she invites us to explore 4 stories that are sure to connect in one way or another. Also among those tales, there’s one that is quite familiar but with her own personal twist that made it quite cool and in a way better.

First up you have the raw honesty of Cancerous Heart” and the vivid and personal approach to storytelling that is part of it. Secondly, the twist, a cover of “Stacy’s Mom” but with her own approach to this extremely appealing and seductive mother (Sorry Stacy but she’s got it going on).

In the second portion of the EP, we find my personal favorite, “Airplane Mode” and it’s youthful charm and honest exploration of what it means to grow up. Last but definitely not least, we close it up with “Didgeridoo”, a sensible and beautifully captivating blend of melodies and lyrics.

All of these together, make for a special sonic experience that will surely find a home not only in your playlist but in your heart and soul. So listen closely and fall prey to the sweet magic that dwells within the ‘Cool People Don’t Exist’ EP. Enjoy!
