From the UK we get another visit, courtesy of the amazing indie band Kites, and they arrive to us with the honest tale of “Wake Up”. With this wonderful musical creation, they let pop and rock come together and dance along, giving our senses a welcomed dose of something special. It’s a track that knows the way in which to get us hooked as our imagination smiles and invites us to play along.
With “Wake Up” they explore the unique nature of nostalgia and how sometimes its grasp can be so strong that invites us to stay there, instead of going out into reality. It’s a song that I know more than a few will relate to, for it knows that being human means growing up and leaving things behind that you wished you could always keep.
