No More Tragedies

Editor's Notes A beautifully inspiring showcase of feelings and emotions.

From the US comes the fantastic indie band The Natural Lines with another musical masterpiece, say hello to "No More Tragedies". With this refreshingly human and down-to-earth mix of melodies and lyrics, they paint a picture so human and easy to connect with. The track invites us to look at the bad things and all that comes with them and to let go, instead of simply holding on to them for whatever reason.

"No More Tragedies" caresses our senses with a gentle touch that is quite warm and inspiring from start to end. There's something about this song that manages to bring peace and a certain joy to our hearts, letting us be free from all that holds us down. So listen closely and fall prey to the sweet magic of this mesmerizing must-listen gem. Enjoy!

"About three years ago I was standing in my driveway holding a brick, blocked in by a BMW from Massachusetts. Instead of letting it fly, I dropped the brick in the grass and wrote No More Tragedies.

I used to think that my frustration and anger were powerful tools, maybe even superpowers, that could pull me through any conflict. Through the song and entire album, I realized that I've been doing it all wrong. Everyone has a story, everyone is worth the attempt at understanding.

I wrote Kate Walsh to see if she was up for carrying a brick around Australia in the music video. Kate has endless presence and depth in a simple stare, so it was a dream come true when she said yes.

No More Tragedies dictated the story for the rest of the album. From then on, everything I wrote had to be real, even the parts that weren't flattering. That's why I changed the name of the band — it was a new way of making music — a late start on an uncharted path."
