"Watched this French Film Climax and it really inspired me to create my next song with a lot of dance elements and life. Pretty early on in the writing process my friend Cale added this amazing bass part with soo much personality and it really locked in the identity. The hook was written in a local studio in Brooklyn and pretty quickly i knew we had found something exciting. The hook wrote very fast.
The writing came out of being in a restless place. The sentiment is really about escaping your fears and troubles on the dance floor and releasing and uniting in that space. I'm much more comfortable in a ballad realm so this felt extremely exciting to be pushing into uncharted waters."
