From Ireland comes the talented indie singer/songwriter/storyteller Dubh Lee with her latest release, say hello to "Low Again". With this refreshingly honest and down-to-earth blend of melodies and lyrics she gives life to a tale quite contemporary and easy to connect with. The track pulls us in with a gentle touch that lets us know that life has changed and sometimes we seek for a little pick me up in many places (the internet for one).
"Low Again" does not aim to point the finger at anyone but instead explores the modern need to find a place that can make you smile, at least for a bit. So listen closely and fall prey to the honest touch of this fantastic must-listen gem. Enjoy!

"Initially I began writing the lyrics as a gentle admonishment of one of my friends for only writing to me when they were feeling low. I then go on to deride my own online behaviour; flirting with people online out of boredom or when my relationship with my significant other was unstable. The third verse came after a close friend suffered a death in their family and shortly after moved to another town; it expresses my wish that they would seek me out for comfort.
What starts as quite a pessimistic look at online communication ends with a more hopeful slant; the emotional shift in the final verse is reflected in a more sentimental chord progression. The final chorus modulates upward in a celebration of our drive for human connection."
