“I wrote hoodie with an old internet friend. We had this idea of a guy giving his girl all his fave hoodies from his fave artists like keshi and XXX, and wanting them back from her after the breakup, but really it’s a confession of wanting her back. It’s weird because i'm singing it from a female perspective so it’s almost like i’m making fun of him for being heartbroken over me, kind of taking the piss out of how emo he’s being and shit but also feeling those emotions myself."
