US-based indie singer/songwriter Zach Hood comes to Wolf in a Suit with the introspective and uniquely relatable sonic creation that is "30". With a down-to-earth blend of melodies and lyrics, he opens up his heart and soul to paint a picture so human, so real and so easy to connect with me. The song is his and I understand this, but there were verses that hit me like a truck, speaking as if they were mine, reminding me of the darkness that at times tries to take over my life.

“‘30’ is about the struggle I have to see a future and feeling stuck in the present. I tend to always scare myself when I think about what life will be like when I’m older but I just can’t see it. My mother asked me “are you depressed” when I was visiting back home. It hit me like a train when she said that because I didn’t know if I was or wasn’t. I tend to lean on the sadder side when I go home because all I think about is leaving again. It’s so hard for me to live in the present no matter how hard I try.

When I say “I hope they see me at 30,” I’m not talking about suicide. I genuinely hope they see me at 30. I’m taking life one step at a time and 30 is another step in the right direction.”
