‘unsaid’ EP by EDIE

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

From Australia comes an absolutely amazing and talented artist, say hello to EDIE and the intoxicating realm of the ‘unsaid’ EP. With this EP she invites us to explore a world unknown yet so truly human, palpable and raw. It’s an experience that will serve as a reminder of the magic and haunting beauty that music can hold and how it can speak to our senses and imagination.

The ‘unsaid’ EP has a special mix of ingredients that enable it to be not only catchy and inviting, but so wonderfully cinematic and vivid from start to end. It gives us a chance to find bits and pieces of ourselves in way that break away from the so called norms and rules set forth by society. Plus, one has to appreciate the fact that genres are not limiting, but instead taken advantage of throughout the 5 track adventure.

Once again, I am unable to pick a specific set of favorites to speak of. While this does not mean that the 5 songs that make up the ‘unsaid’ EP are not amazing, let’s keep in mind that the first track is an intro into this reality she has crafted and the remaining 4 connect so well with each, taking us for a ride. Instead, just listen to the entire thing from start to end, going through the rollercoaster of emotions that make it up as you find the verses and experiences that hit the mark for you. Listen closely and let’s just dive into it, finish reading and just close your eyes and let your imagination run wild. Enjoy!
