‘All Kinds of Light’ EP by Hayden Calnin
From Australia comes an absolutely brilliant artist and he does so with something special, say hello to Hayden Calnin and the ‘All Kinds of Light’ EP. With this 8-Track EP, we are given a chance to dive into worlds unknown, yet so familiar and human. Each track offers us a place to feel a connection, as the stories that make them up embrace the reality of life in all its splendor. He understands that life is made of ups and downs, black and whites and shades of grey, he sees the beauty in the joy and the sadness, and all of these ingredients makes this EP an absolute must.
The ‘All Kinds of Light’ EP is a welcomed dose of inspiration, motivation and acceptance of our fragile reality, one that makes it all so special and so majestic. It does not aim to push anyone away, but instead gives us a wide array of places to find peace and be ourselves as the soundscapes soar through the airwaves that surround us all.
This time around, it was a bit more complicated to single out two tracks as my personal favorites, for there’s so many special adventures to have with each track.
The first one I got hooked by is “All These Kinds of Light”, perfectly doing justice to the title of the album, with a slight change in the words used. It’s a special track that invites us to see all life has to give, from what’s in brightest light to what the shadows hold close. The other track is “Mornings in Tabio”, a special track that spoke to me and told me to see that there are moments that are so special, that you are lucky to get second chances with them, so it’s best to enjoy them on their first and potentially only appearance.
So listen closely to each track that calls the ‘All Kinds of Light’ EP home and let your heart and soul rejoice for there’s something here for all of us. Enjoy!
