‘The Bomb’ by Bryce Fox
US-based indie artist Bryce Fox comes to Wolf in a Suit with a refreshingly rebellious and electrifying body of work, say hello to ‘The Bomb’ EP. With this stunning collection of songs, he embraces our senses with such firm grasp that you’ll immediately realize that there’s no escaping this fire. It’s an EP made of greatness, raw storytelling and instrumental arrangement that are meant to blow away your senses.
With ‘The Bomb’ EP he gives rock a much needed facelift and offers music lovers a chance to break away from the holds of all the rules that society tends to place on us. It’s a freeing and inviting showcase of talent and humanity, making this EP an absolute must for any digital collection and it leaves you wanting for something physical and palpable to add to your collection as well (well it did for me, maybe it does the same for you).
The album is made of 5 track and coincidentally it got 5 out of 5 stars from me, but out of these 5 masterpieces there were two whose fire burned just a little brighter for me. “World’s On Fire” and “Paradise” are my pick for my favorites, but you are free to have your own because there’s no wrong answer when it comes to ‘The Bomb’ EP.
The first is raw, in your face and refreshingly hopeful yet honest about the current reality of our world. It does not sugar coat anything, but reminds us that it’s in our hands to see how things can change for the better. While the second, is rebellious, seductive and full of swagger, pulling you in from the moment you press play. It’s a reminder that while pursuing a made-up image of a paradise, we are letting go of the one we have at our reach, and when we look at it we see that it’s not a pretty picture. So accept it, ugly and all and push forward for whatever you’ll make the future look like.
So listen closely and fall prey as I have to the sweet magic of ‘The Bomb’ EP, because honestly there’s no escaping it and in all fairness why would you want to to that. Enjoy the adventures that these verses have to offer our imagination!
