‘I Miss The Sky’ by Hayden Everett
From the US comes the uber-talented Hayden Everett with a mix of stories that come together and become the ‘I Miss The Sky’ EP. With these tracks he allows himself to be in tune with what’s transpiring inside his heart and soul, giving life to worlds that speak to each of us in a unique and down-to-earth fashion. They are songs that understand the various facets of the human experience and invite us to bring down our walls and simply connect.
The ‘I Miss The Sky’ EP feels like an invitation to reconnect not only with the world that surrounds us but with ourselves along the way. It’s a body of work that understands sometimes we set too many rules and most of the time, they exist solely in our heads, telling us no when maybe the best answer would have been a yes. It’s refreshing showcase of the beauty and magic that makes music so necessary for our lives as each track is cinematic and so unique from start to end.
The EP has 6 songs, 6 masterpieces that embrace our senses and give us a chance to feel alive and at ease. Out of these 6 tales, there were 2 that spoke a little louder to me, “See You Soon” and “Seize the Sun”.
These two tracks embrace the need to break away from some rules and simply live, either to give ourselves a chance to see someone we miss and show the love that resides inside us or to press pause and just enjoy life for a moment without a care in the world. They are fantastic songs that add to the sweet taste of the ambrosia that is so naturally found inside the ‘I Miss The Sky’ EP.
So listen closely to each and every track, because just like I have found my favorite ones, I am sure you’ll find some that speak words more in sync with what your heart yearns for. Enjoy the adventure that awaits you within the worlds that make up the ‘I Miss The Sky’ EP.

“I wrote this song as an anthem to take a break and go on a walk. For me, it can be hopeful to simply enjoy the sun in those instances.”
