The tracks don’t allow for anyone to run away, they instantly hook you in and make you feel as if each verse that makes them up were always meant for you to not only listen, but feel as much yours as it is theirs. They understood the task and took advantage of the fire that resides within the rock genre, giving life to songs that are not shy in what they want, they want you to feel it all and to let your imagination connect the dots that they are providing.
There’s 6 songs within the ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ EP, and honestly all of them are golden, there was no bad song and picking favorites was a bit harder this time around. They just knew how to leave a mark and hit the spot just right from the moment each of them came alive. But if I had to pick, I would say that “Little Like Hell” and “I Don’t Like the Quiet” are my top two contenders.
Both songs are passionate, honest and they embrace your senses in such natural and human fashion from start to end. They speak to you from a personal place, yet embrace the universal nature of the experiences that inspired them, bringing people together and giving us all a chance to feel at home. Plus, instrumentally speaking, the approach was quite fun and exciting, balancing quite perfectly with the raw and palpable nature of the verses, giving music lovers something to be excited about.
