My Personal Favorites from ’16 Dreams A Minute’:
- “Adios (Ft. Mathilda)”: A fantastic collaboration that allows us to fall prey to the magical touch that two distinct voices can provide. Plus, it’s impossible to not fall in love with it in my opinion.
- “Free Yourself”: It does justice to the title quite perfectly, bringing a sense of freedom to the listener as we break away from all that holds us back.
- “Sonora”: Something about this track just made it feel so rebellious, so raw and so refreshingly in your face. It has a bit of punk rock in it and I just love how it embraces that fire.
- “Dream”: There’s a perfect dose of angst and honest emotions roaming through this soundscape, making it an instant favorite for me. It just knows how to get hooked as I sing along.

From France comes a band that has managed to immediately become a favorite mine, say hello to Stuck in the Sound and their album. ’16 Dreams A Minute’. With this fantastic body of work, they come to us with a fire that is sure to burn everything that gets in their way. It’s an album that tests the boundaries of music in a way that does not push you way, but instead, it pulls you in with an ease that feels quite supernatural and beautifully intoxicating.
The band understands that it’s not just about the lyrics, or the instruments, or the image, it’s about bringing it all together to create a special experience that they can share with all who listen to their music. It’s freeing, it’s inspiring, it’s relatable and is wonderfully human and personal while also being universal and magnetic. ’16 Dreams A Minute’ is everything and more in regards to what I want from an album, it has that right unknown je ne sais quois that allows a creation to step away from the boundaries of the mundane and the palpable.
Plus, I love the way in which you can’t really fully pinpoint the sound to one genre, as they play with pop, rock and even a bit of metal, punk and electronica along the way. This gives the album a pretty unique flavor for our senses, allowing it to really play with our imagination and give us a much needed escape from reality. It’s an ensemble of songs that transcends the limits of time, feeling modern, classic and even futuristic as we enjoy each and every song offered.
