The uber-talented indie singer/songwriter Tadhg Daly joins forces with the equally talented Jolé and together they give life to “Novocaine” (the Jolé edit). With this new version of one of his latest track, they offer us a stripped down version that embraces the fragile nature of the verses in such a perfect way. This new version allows us to feel a connection a bit easier and allows the verses to flow along with a certain warmth that is being offered instead of the passion of the original. They understood the task and together gave an already fantastic track another spin and managed to let a new story be explore as the soundscape came alive.
There’s no denying that what this collaboration has given life too is quite mesmerizing and beautiful to hear. So listen closely and let go of all you know for this track and the original version are both must-listen gem that should be enjoyed by all music lovers.
“Jolé has been one of my favourite artists and a consistent collaborator for the past couple of years. I’m a huge fan of the soundscapes he creates in his music and to have him reimagine “Novocaine” has allowed me to see a totally different side to the song. I think this version of the song shines a light on the vulnerability in the story of the song.”
