“the whistle song” by SOCKiTTOME
UK-based indie singer/songwriter SOCKiTTOME comes to Wolf in a Suit with the bittersweet sonic creation that is “the whistle song”. With this stunning and heartfelt showcase of feelings and emotions, this uber-talented artist paints a picture that is so vivid and so raw. The track unfolds from the very first second after you press play and offers us a chance to connect and see the fragile truth of love, life, sadness, grief and all that lies in between. It explores this with such minute detail and care, not hiding the bad nor enhancing the good, simply telling a story that is sure to connect with more than a few.
There’s something special about this track that allows it to be catchy and fun but also down-to-earth and hypnotizing from start to end. So listen closely and fell to the sweet magic of this must-listen gem. Enjoy!
“I wrote this song about a couple I knew going through a difficult separation. One half had recently lost someone very close to them, became closed off and began to blame their partner for it all. I wrote this from the female’s perspective of wanting to salvage this relationship but finding fewer and fewer reasons to keep fighting for it. I recorded it in my old bedroom back in my hometown whilst taking a break from living in the same household. This is my first song covering a heavier topic.”
