“‘Til Tomorrow’ is about a relationship strained by distance. Many people have experienced the challenges of staying together despite being apart, and this is my own story of feeling that pull and hoping that a relationship would survive. Musically, this song was an homage to the fearsome twosome of Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards of Chic and Sister Sledge – we were channeling their groove with the main riff, dutifully played on a clean old Stratocaster plugged straight into the board. We also brought in some heavy hitting support on this track – Keita Ogawa from Snarky Puppy contributed auxiliary percussion, and Ted Taforo laid down the warm bed of horns and flutes over the outro.”
