“Not Angry Yet” by St. South
Australian indie singer/songwriter St. South comes to Wolf in a Suit for the first time with the insightful and honest sonic escape that is “Not Angry Yet”. With this refreshing blend of melodies and lyrics she gives pop a much needed dose of truth and human fragility as she explores what happens after a breakup. She knows that our hearts and souls start to wonder and question many things from the mundane to the most complicated making us feel lost and confused. It’s refreshing soundscape that really understands us and invites to explore the reality of this pain together in a way that is down to earth and uniquely soothing. So listen carefully and explore the magic of this amazing musical realm. Enjoy!
“The first few days post-break-up can be raw and confusing. Anger slowly starts setting in, alongside confusion and desperation. This track is about being alone in my house the days following my partner leaving me and questioning all of the possible reasons why she did. Trying to complete household chores was a mundane task which left me questioning even the firmness of my bed not being enough for her: ‘I hang out the washing, I’m not what she wanted. I’m folding the laundry, was my bed too hard for you after all?’ I brought in all of the drums for the last chorus as a juxtaposition for the line ‘I’m not angry yet.’” – St. South
