“Grow” by AINSLIE

Vicky Warwick serves as the bass-player for Charli XCX and also assist others artists, but she has now taken on the persona of AINSLIE and she is going to blow you away. With her debut single “Grow” she caresses pop in a way that is subtle, sweet, honest and passionate in its own way making the track memorable. The verses and melodies manage to stay in your head and out of nowhere you’ll find yourself singing the lyrics and humming the melody. The track is an honest self-exploration of the wants we set upon ourselves and what society expects us to aspire to. So listen, pay attention to the story as it unfolds and enjoy!

[su_quote cite=”Vicky Warwick ak AINSLIE”]’grow’ observes idyllic suburbia, and the human need to climb up the ladder of society. “I found myself walking in this beautiful neighbourhood being curious about the stories behind each person or family inside each house. Wondering if they are as happy as I imagined they were. What seemed like a perfect world, might be not what it cracked up to be, and I considered if it was what I would want for myself anyway. Society has taught us it’s something we should strive for, so part of me was longing to live that life behind one of the perfect front doors, but part of me also felt a disconnect; it was far from what I truly want in life.[/su_quote]
