“HiLo” by Olivver the Kid ft. Armors
Bryan Sammis aka Olivver the Kid joins forces with one of my favorite indie bands out there, Armors, together both musical acts bring the magical trip that is “HiLo”. From the very beginning we get a certain nostalgic feels as the arrangement blends certain touches from the 80’s with contemporary tunes ensuring a trip back to your youth. There’s something about it that in a way brings a certain peace that might have gotten lost along the way as adulthood became part of you. It allows us to reflect back on all the good and all the bad and to smile at it for everything helped us get to where we are today and provided valuable lessons. The soundscape that is created from this verses and melodies allow Bryan and Olen to really shine through as their unique vocals enhance the beauty of the story that is part of this song. So enter this world and reminisce of the youth that is no longer there but fondly remembered and of course enjoy this must listen gem.
[su_quote cite=”Bryan Sammis aka Olivver the Kid”]HiLo is a song about nostalgia & reflecting on your youth. It is a song about the highs and lows of our lives that have led us to where we are & learning to embrace those feelings. I chose a photo from when i was young and carefree to be the single art because it is a picture & feeling i often find myself trying to emulate. I wrote this song with Armors & features Olen on the bridge.[/su_quote]
