“Too Strung Up is a song that looks at relationships that are hard to move on from, and the realization that love isn’t a feeling you share with any one special individual. The relationship provides a sense of comfortability and acceptance which can be found in many other things.” – Alex Farrell-Davey of Alae

Alternative indie pop trio Alae deliver another must listen gem of honest emotions and inviting lyricism with “Too Strung Up”. The band from New Zealand take the classic route focusing on the performance of the song adding black and white visuals and a playful use of the camera and lights making this music video a pleasing experience. The track does not need more than them and the passion in the performance to deliver the bittersweet but honest lyrics to make it a soundscape you want to listen to. It is an immediate hit personally as it really speaks to the listeners and creates a story that sadly we can connect for it is a reflection of our humanity. It speaks of love and the lack of it at certain points in relationships when they are about to end. It understands that sometimes we may stay because it feels safe and normal, but then we wonder if that is all we want or don’t we want more and to really have what love is suppose to be. So listen, enjoy and of course connect with the emotions and verses of another musical creation by this talented band.
