“Jude” by Didirri
Inspired by the many unique things that are part of his life, Didirri created “Jude” from watching a dog (aptly named Jude) he loves dearly stare at shadows and leaving the world around it behind. He saw this as an embodiment of the human mind at times, how we have a tendency to focus on one thing without realizing how full our lives can be. This talented singer/songwriter brings something that was desperately needed in the modern music scene: a voice that carries a soul, a heart and a story in each verse that comes from a reality that has been lived and that we as listeners can connect with. ‘Jude’ came out of me on the eve of a friend contemplating their own life. It is a reflection of finding myself in a similar mind to this at times. Feeling that there is no way out. And knowing that these thoughts are chemical and will pass and hearing those words “take a sad song and make it better” and hoping that you’ll be there after all of your thoughts have passed.”
