“Astronaut” by The Dig
Through a perfect union of four talented musicians, The Dig continues to create music that stands out from the rest and creates a bond with the listener in a sort of surreal fashion. Through ethereal and mesmerizing vocals, the band serve up a soundscape that is only theirs and that cannot be copied or replicated. Maybe there’s something in the food, the water or the air they breathe in the mysterious and always enticing city of New York, but this last showcase of their talent cements the fact to their new album (Bloodshot Tokyo) is a must have. Enjoy the verses and the soundscape of “Astronaut” and follow this amazing band and if you can, make an investment of some amazing music with their latest album.
[su_quote cite=”Emile Mosseri” url=”http://www.onestowatch.com/blog/exclusive-premiere-the-dig-astronaut”]I wrote the lyrics to Astronaut with David in the middle of the night out on a boat on a lake up in Connecticut last summer. It’s a song about two people that can’t see one another for what they actually are, they only see the framework of something foreign. Two people that are connected but not quite calibrated. One experiences the other the way an alien would experience a spaceman, the right experiences the left (and vice versa), a dog experiences a turtle etc. Now seems like an appropriate time to set it out into the universe.[/su_quote]
